Tron and On and On

The "fancier" new Tron: Legacy figures

After seeing my first 3D movie, Tron: Legacy, I stand by the belief that fancier technology doesn't always offer a better experience.  I'm a huge Tron fan, and given how primitive the technology is in the original (despite it being ground-breaking at the time), I still think it's a better movie than Legacy.  Granted, they're both pretty cheesy, but something about the original one honks my horn more.

And I think the same can be said for the new Tron toys.  They are much more detailed, intricate, and poseable than the originals.  But, when it comes down to it, there's no way they're a great as the first ones.  These very important musings prompted me to take some pictures of my original (and cooler) Tron figures.  I think these pictures prove that the vintage ones still hold up, and that the new ones won't.  Also, these pictures might prove I'm a total douche.
